Our Values
Donburn is proud to be developing a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) to strengthen relationships, respect, and opportunities in the classroom, around the school and with the community. To learn more, visit: reconciliation.org.au/narragunnawali.
SWPBS
Donburn Primary School’s values are to be safe, respectful and a positive learner. We respect ourselves, our school and each other, and understand that our attitudes and behaviours have an impact on the people around us. We model and demonstrate being safe, and take every opportunity to help others that may be in need. We strive for all children and staff to be positive learners, which means trying our hardest and believing we can learn and improve.
Overview
School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) is a framework that brings together school communities to develop positive, safe and supportive learning cultures. SWPBS assists schools to improve social, emotional, behavioural and academic outcomes for children and young people by developing consistency and predictability across the school setting.
Donburn Primary School continues to use the SWPBS behaviour motivation model in order to build a positive learning environment. Students can earn 'hoots' (tokens) when they exhibit behaviour that fit with the SWPBS model which counts towards class and school-wide rewards. At Donburn we aim to create and foster community partnerships through the SWPBS approach.
